First game back for me a week.
5 games straight. 6 enemy tanks on the opposing team.
I witnessed a Gunlogi withstand an assault from my FG and 2 Proto SLs. It just stood there with its hardeners on. Then, I witnessed it with a Sica. Then a Maddy... then a Soma...
I had one Gunlogi withstand my FG, a Advanced SL, and a Maddy Missile Tank simultaneously.
We went from having to face maybe 1 tank per game, to 6 at a time constantly. I can finish matches 0/5 with 80,000 damage given...
CCP, and every delusional tanker that really thought they needed help... f*ck off.
This is the most broken I have seen the game since murder taxis.
When will this FoTM bullsh*t just f*cking stop already? Where is the common sense? Better yet, where is the research that warrants these changes? Every selfish faction in this joke of a playerbase only cares about their own opinion of how they think the game should be played, because they are FPS scrubs who couldn't stand out on other titles. 20 tankers b*tched loud enough and ruined the game for everyone. What's 20 people compared to the life of this game?
In the meantime you've had an exodus of this game like never beofre. Top players are leaving. Scouts have 100% given up. Even the kool-aid sippin' CPMs don't have a clue what's running through anyone's head at CCP anymore... then again I don't think CCP knows what's running through their head either. This game is one complaint after another. One bad review after another. One failure after another. EvE was just a one-trick-pony CCP was able to pull off after 10 years of debacle. Maybe they should just stick to the one thing they eventually got right. Every other project they have undertaken has simply failed on every level. You soloed my Rail Tank the other day....granted I was out of actives and within 40m of you hving just killed a Maddy...... point is one tank is not OP, two tanks are not OP, 3 tanks are not OP I soloed 3 today. 4 or more is pushing it, that's quite difficult. I do however like the new iteration of Dust seeing tanks and dropships on the map is lovely. Bloody nice change from a former infantry only game. More often than not I don't even drive around looking to kill infantry, I am too busy with your teams tanks. I like it that way. Why don't you like it that you have to get into a tank to have an easier time taking out another tank? I enjoy seeing one or two and many Skirmish matches are close in such scenarios. However, once someone deploys 4-6 it becomes extremely difficult to counter. HAVs need to be capped to 3 a team, there should be a short delay on calling them in, and STD tanks that are called in at the same time as MLT tanks should get deployed first. This way every team will have it's dedicated tankers in tanks and maybe 1 or 2 guys running MLTs to fill the gaps. Tank squads are fun to be in, but very frustrating to face, even moreso than proto squads.
As for, "Use another tank" balance, the problem is that having multiple tankers becomes a prerequisite to victory in every pub match. Imagine if every team had to have 5-6 Shotgun Scouts to attempt to win 50% of matches? If not enough blueberries chose to go Scout, you would be screwed. I am often the only tank beating back a wave of tanks and we almost always lose in these scenarios. The only solution is for everyone to squad with another tanker to ensure tank superiority, which just flips the problem on to the other side during the other 50% of matches where 1-2 tanks are deployed.
